We had a wonderful Christmas - hope you did too! This week is filled with lots of tissues and Sudafed for me, but also painting the pressroom, taking down decorations, play time with the pup and relaxation.
Wishing you a Happy New Year!
{mouthwatering photos from mainemomma's Flickr. go there.... there are so many amazing photos!}
Seems that the 22nd of December is the day to sign off for the holidays... But, before I go, I wanted to share with you our 2009 batch of Christmas home brew!
2009 Winter Ale
2008 Beschwipst
It's much different than last year's holiday beer in many ways. Obviously the label has changed, but this beer is perfection! (Not that last year wasn't amazing) The hubby has really perfected his process and produced some quality brews this year- and the holiday batch is no exception. I'm so glad that both of our hobbies can find their way into the hands of our friends and family as a present for Christmas!
Happy Holidays to you. I'm signing off until after Christmas. Have a safe and fun holiday. cheers!
I wish we had some time at the office to make one, but we are super slammed (hence the silence around here)! Thanks for the birthday wishes, it was a fantastic day.
Early 2008 I saw this tutorial and bookmarked it "for later use". I had no idea what I wanted it for so it sat in my Google Reader for over a year. In October, I started thinking about what we could do that would be fun and different for our holiday cards and upon going back through my bookmarked items I was obsessed with the flip book idea.
We didn't follow this tutorial though. Instead, we shot a video, imported into photoshop every 3 frames as a layer and exported each layer as a still photo jpg. Each book was printed in order and cut/drilled at my office. I letterpressed the covers and bound them with felt and chicago screws then mailed them in cute little boxes.
Please accept this video as a holiday card from us to you! We only made about 20 actual cards, any more and the binding process might have become a real hassle.
We had a great weekend, followed by a crazy Monday. December is a month where so much fun is planned and the calendar is full, yet I find myself exhausted from it all before it is over. I do take the time to stop and enjoy, but even that has to be penciled in! What do you do to relax during such a hectic season?
On another note, I received my first Christmas card in the mail today. (wish I looked this fabulous when I read it!) I'll be taking mine to the post office this week. They've been on the radar for over 2 months now and I'm happy to say I'm glad to be getting them out of my house! In a couple weeks, I'll show you.
We hosted Thanksgiving this year, and I'm thankful my first attempt at a turkey was successful! Our table was accessorized with napkins by inSaneity and the Banquet PopMat placemats. The hubby is anti-centerpiece, so I opted for a few unscented votives to keep it super simple.
Now that turkey day is behind us, the holidays are fast approaching! I believe this week will be all gift guide links and gift ideas, so stay tuned...
